New York based musician Adom is finally set to bring his original project Body of Scars to the United States! Following the project’s exclusive release in the U.K. and Japan, Adom gained massive attention from critics and fellow artists, including the iconic band My Chemical Romance. Now, Adom is ready to release Body of Scars for his fans in the United States.
Originally called Alien and released under the Italian Record label Frontiers, the making of this project has proven to be an emotional rollercoaster for Adom. From the start, it was a battle between Adom and the label on the direction of the music and his sound. The record company pushed Adom to deliver a rock-charged album that was inspired by Adom’s prior history as a writer and producer for legendary rock band Boston. Although the album was hailed by critics and proved to be very successful, Adom couldn’t help but feel that the songs could be improved.
The newly mastered and edited tracks are the original recorded versions as written and produced by Adom. “I need to share these tracks with the entire world, the way I originally wrote and mixed them, they are a chapter in my story, a body of scars, and sometimes these scars can define who we become,” says Adom. The reimagined Body of Scars includes two tracks written and produced by Adom for Tom Scholz of Boston called “Cryin” and “Turn it off”. The two songs were released on Boston’s Corporate America album, then stripped of all digital and brick-and-mortar distribution shortly after due to legalities between Artemis Records and the group. Body of Scars also features Fran Cosmo former singer of Boston on lead vocals with a powerhouse performance.
